- 1 lb jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 lb sliced bacon, thin-cut
- 4 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- â…“ cup brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking tray with foil.
- Combine melted butter, lemon juice, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and garlic powder in a bowl.
- Marinate shrimp in the mixture for 15 minutes.
- Wrap each shrimp in bacon and secure with toothpicks.
- Place shrimp on the baking tray and sprinkle with half the brown sugar.
- Bake for 7-8 minutes, flip shrimp, and add remaining brown sugar.
- Bake for an additional 7-8 minutes until shrimp is pink and bacon is crispy.
Notes
Avoid overcooking the shrimp; they should be pink and firm when done.
For easier handling, use foil-lined trays that are greased to prevent sticking.
Store leftovers in airtight containers for up to 3 days.
