Description

Baked Brie and Preserves combines creamy brie cheese and sweet, fruity preserves for an indulgent appetizer that’s easy to prepare and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • Brie cheese (8 ounces)
  • Good-quality fruit preserves (â…“ cup)
  • Chopped nuts (¼ cup)
  • Honey or maple syrup (1 tablespoon, optional)
  • Fresh herbs or berries (optional)
  • Serving options include sliced baguette, crostini, crackers, apple or pear slices

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350℉ and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place the cold wheel of brie on the parchment paper.
  • Score the top rind with shallow crosshatch cuts.
  • Spoon fruit preserves over the brie.
  • Sprinkle chopped nuts over the preserves.
  • Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until soft and gooey.
  • Let rest for 2 to 3 minutes, then drizzle with honey or maple syrup if desired.
  • Transfer to a serving platter and serve with baguette, crackers, or fruit slices.

Notes

Avoid cutting the brie too deeply when scoring; just cut the rind.
Let the brie sit out for 15 minutes before baking for better melting.
For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free crackers.
