Description

These Baked Cranberry Pomegranate Turkey Wings feature tender meat glazed with a delightful cranberry pomegranate sauce, offering irresistible flavor perfect for festive gatherings or cozy dinners.

Ingredients

  • Turkey Wings (4 1/2 lbs.)
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil (1/4 cup)
  • Smoked Paprika (1 Tbsp)
  • Lawry's Seasoning Salt (2 tsps)
  • Garlic Powder (2 tsps)
  • Onion Powder (2 tsps)
  • Water or Chicken Stock (1 cup)
  • Organic All-Purpose Flour (1 Tbsp)
  • Whole Cranberries (1 cup)
  • Thyme Sprigs (4)
  • Pomegranate Juice (1 cup)
  • Organic Brown Sugar (1/2 cup)
  • Cornstarch (1 Tbsp)
  • Warm Water (3 Tbsps)
  • Lemon Slices (1, optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a baking dish or griddle pan with oil or butter.
  • Toss turkey wings with olive oil, smoked paprika, Lawry's seasoning salt, garlic powder, and onion powder. Marinate for 30 minutes or longer.
  • Arrange wings in the baking dish and pour a mixture of water or chicken stock and flour over them. Scatter cranberries and thyme around the wings.
  • Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 1 to 1.5 hours until cooked through and golden brown.
  • Prepare the glaze by simmering pomegranate juice, cranberries, brown sugar, and optional lemon slices. Thicken with cornstarch mixture.
  • Glaze the wings, uncover, and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the glaze caramelizes. Let rest before serving.

Notes

Marinating the wings enhances the flavor and tenderness significantly.
Use a meat thermometer to ensure wings reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
Double the glaze ingredients if you prefer extra sauce.
