  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • ¼ cup yellow onion, finely diced
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 2 tablespoons hamburger seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 bag (10 to 12 ounces) tortilla chips
  • 1 ½ cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons yellow mustard
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ cup dill pickles, finely diced
  • ½ cup cherry tomatoes, finely diced
  • ½ cup shredded lettuce

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Cook ground beef and onion in vegetable oil until browned. Drain excess grease.
  • Mix in mustard, hamburger seasoning, and garlic powder; cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Spread tortilla chips on a baking sheet.
  • Layer beef mixture over chips, then top with cheese.
  • Bake for 7-9 minutes until cheese melts.
  • Whisk together sauce ingredients; drizzle over nachos when done.
  • Top with pickles, tomatoes, and lettuce. Serve immediately.

Notes

Keep chips and toppings separate until ready to serve to maintain crispness.
You can prepare the beef mixture a day in advance for convenience.
