Description

This Chicken Tikka in the Air Fryer offers irresistible flavors with simple preparation. Using chicken and yogurt, it’s a quick, healthy meal ideal for any day!


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs boneless chicken (thighs or breasts)
  • 1 cup plain greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1.5 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 1.5 teaspoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika or kashmiri chili powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon oil (vegetable or avocado)

Instructions

  • Cut the chicken into 1.5-inch pieces.
  • In a bowl, mix yogurt, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, and all spices to create a marinade.
  • Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and coat them thoroughly. Allow marinating for 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Place the marinated chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook the chicken for 12–14 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking time for even results.
  • After cooking, let the chicken rest for 5 minutes, then serve with chutney or rice.

Notes

Marinating overnight enhances the flavor and tenderness of the chicken.
Adjust the spices according to your taste preference for more or less heat.
