  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 packet (19-ounce) frozen cheese tortellini
  • 1½ cups heavy cream
  • 2 cups fresh baby spinach leaves
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • Parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Brown the sausage in a skillet over medium heat, then drain excess grease.
  • Transfer the browned sausage to the slow cooker.
  • Mix in diced onion, minced garlic, and sliced carrots with the sausage.
  • Pour in chicken broth and add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir gently.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
  • Stir in frozen tortellini 30 minutes before serving.
  • Add heavy cream, spinach, and Parmesan cheese. Cook on LOW for another 5–10 minutes.
