- 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley (chopped)
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Olive oil for cooking
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cucumber (grated and drained)
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1 tbsp fresh dill (chopped)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Mix ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, onion, parsley, oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Roll mixture into 1 to 1.5 inch meatballs.
- Cook meatballs by baking in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes, or pan-frying in olive oil for about 4-5 minutes on each side.
- Prepare tzatziki by mixing cucumber, Greek yogurt, garlic, lemon juice, dill, and olive oil.
- Serve meatballs with tzatziki sauce and optional sides like pita bread or salad.
Notes
Meatball mixture should not be overmixed to maintain tenderness.
Allow the meat mixture to sit before shaping to enhance flavor.
