Description

This Easy Honey Garlic Shrimp recipe features succulent shrimp coated in a sticky blend of honey and garlic. Perfect for a quick dinner, this dish offers a delightful balance of sweet and savory flavors that everyone will enjoy.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ pounds large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 tablespoon neutral oil
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 3 garlic cloves (finely grated)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger (finely grated)
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 2 scallions (thinly sliced)
  • Toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  • Whisk the sauce ingredients together in a medium bowl until well blended.
  • Pat shrimp dry and season with salt and pepper; sauté in heated oil until pink.
  • Remove shrimp, add sauce to pan, and let bubble until slightly thickened.
  • Return shrimp to the pan and coat thoroughly in the sauce, cooking for 1-2 minutes more.
  • Garnish with scallions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
Avoid overcooking the shrimp to maintain their texture. They turn pink and opaque when done.
For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the cooking shrimp.
