Description

This Easy Sakura Latte combines the unique flavors of cherry blossom syrup and matcha powder for a delightful drink. With just a few ingredients and simple steps, this latte is perfect for anyone seeking a delicious and easy homemade beverage. Treat yourself to a quick and enjoyable treat!


Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk* (240 grams)
  • 4 teaspoons cherry blossom syrup*
  • 2 teaspoons matcha powder*
  • ½ cup hot water
  • ¼ cup cream, optional (60 grams)

Instructions

  • Sift the matcha powder into a small bowl using a fine mesh sieve.
  • Pour ¼ cup of hot water (170℉ or 80°C) over the matcha and whisk until foamy and aerated.
  • Add the remaining hot water to the matcha mixture and gently mix to combine.
  • In another jug or bowl, mix the milk and cherry blossom syrup well.
  • Pour the sakura milk into two large serving glasses filled halfway with ice cubes.
  • Very slowly pour the matcha tea on top of the sakura milk to maintain the separation of colors.
  • If desired, top with a bit of cream before serving.

Notes

Make sure to use high-quality matcha powder for the best flavor.
You can adjust the amount of cherry blossom syrup based on your taste preference.
