Description

This Gingerbread Latte combines spices and espresso for a cozy drink that’s easy to make at home. With its rich flavor and comforting aroma, it’s perfect for chilly days or festive occasions.

Ingredients

  • Maple Syrup (2-3 tablespoons)
  • Molasses (1 tablespoon)
  • Ground Ginger (1/2 teaspoon)
  • Ground Cinnamon (1/2 teaspoon)
  • Ground Nutmeg (a pinch)
  • Ground Cloves (a pinch)
  • Hot Water (1-2 teaspoons)
  • Espresso (4 shots / 4 ounces)
  • Milk (1 cup, dairy or non-dairy; use 1 ¼ cup for creamier texture)
  • Whipped Cream (optional)
  • Cinnamon or Nutmeg (for topping)

Instructions

  • Combine maple syrup, molasses, and spices in a small bowl; thin with hot water if needed.
  • Mix the gingerbread syrup with hot espresso in a bowl until well combined.
  • Steam the milk until silky and warm, avoiding boiling.
  • Divide the espresso mixture into mugs and pour in the steamed milk, holding back foam.
  • Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon or nutmeg.

Notes

Store extra gingerbread syrup in an airtight container for up to a week.
Reheat syrup gently or freeze in ice cubes for long term use.
Adjust sweetness by adding more or less syrup based on taste.
