Ingredients
- Ground Beef (2 lbs)
- Onion (1, diced)
- Garlic (3 cloves, minced)
- Crushed Tomatoes (28 oz can)
- Tomato Paste (2 tablespoons)
- Chili Powder (1 ½ tablespoons)
- Ground Cumin (1 teaspoon)
- Smoked Paprika (1 teaspoon)
- Dried Oregano (1 teaspoon)
- Garlic Powder (½ teaspoon)
- Cayenne Pepper (¼ teaspoon)
- Sugar (1-2 teaspoons, to taste)
- Salt and Pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Heat a large Dutch oven over medium heat.
- Add ground beef, diced onion, and minced garlic; brown for 5-7 minutes until cooked through.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes and tomato paste, then add chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, garlic powder, cayenne, sugar, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and cover; simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve hot dog chili over prepared hot dogs and add your favorite toppings.
