Ingredients
- All-butter pie crust
- Chopped pecans (2 cups)
- Unsalted butter (1 stick, 4 oz)
- Light brown sugar (1 cup)
- Heavy cream (2/3 cup)
- Pure maple syrup (1/2 cup)
- Bourbon (3 tablespoons)
- Kosher salt (1/2 teaspoon)
- Ground cinnamon (1/4 teaspoon)
- Vanilla bean paste (1 teaspoon)
- Eggs (3, room temperature)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F and prepare pie crust, chill for 30 minutes.
- Partially blind bake the crust for about 20 minutes.
- Reduce oven temperature to 350°F and toast pecans for 6-8 minutes.
- Make the filling by melting butter, adding brown sugar, cream, and other ingredients, then cooling.
- Whisk in eggs and fold in pecans, pour into crust and decorate with pecan halves.
- Bake for 35-45 minutes until the filling is slightly jiggly in the center, cool for 2-3 hours before serving.
