Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound salmon
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • ¼ cup water
  • Green onions, chopped, for garnish
  • Cooked white rice, for serving

Instructions

  • Remove the skin from the salmon and cut it into 1-inch cubes, patting them dry with paper towels.
  • Toss salmon cubes with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the seasoned salmon cubes for 4-5 minutes until golden and flakey.
  • Melt butter in a small saucepan and whisk in maple syrup, soy sauce, minced garlic, white wine vinegar, red pepper flakes, and water. Simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  • Add cooked salmon to the skillet and toss in the glaze for 1-2 minutes until well coated.
  • Transfer to a platter, garnish with green onions, and serve over rice or alone.

Notes

Ensure not to overcook the salmon for optimal flakiness.
