Description

Nutter Butter Referees are a delightful treat with creamy icing and a playful look, perfect for parties or snack time. Simple prep and fun to make!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 nutter butter cookies
  • 3 ounces white almond bark or white candy melts
  • â…“ cup black candy melts
  • 24 candy eyeballs

Instructions

  • Melt white almond bark or white candy melts until smooth as per package instructions.
  • Dip each Nutter Butter cookie halfway into the melted coating to mimic a referee's uniform. Allow excess coating to drip off, then set them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Melt the black candy melts and fill a piping bag with them, using a small tip for precise piping.
  • Pipe thin stripes onto the white coating of the cookies for a striped referee look.
  • Attach candy eyeballs to the cookies using a small dab of melted black candy, then pipe mouths and hair using the black candy melts.
  • Allow cookies to sit at room temperature or briefly refrigerate until the coating hardens.

Notes

Ensure the candy melts are fully melted for a smooth dip.
For easier piping, keep the black candy melts warm while decorating.
These cookies can be made a day in advance for convenience.
