Ingredients

  • Brussels sprouts (1 pound)
  • Olive oil (1 tablespoon)
  • Salt (½ teaspoon)
  • Pepper (½ teaspoon)
  • Onion powder (½ teaspoon)
  • Garlic powder (½ teaspoon)
  • Parmesan cheese (¼ cup, grated)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet.
  • Wash and trim Brussels sprouts, cutting larger ones in half.
  • Optional: Par-cook in the microwave for 1 minute for even roasting.
  • In a bowl, combine sprouts with olive oil, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and half the parmesan. Toss well.
  • Arrange sprouts cut-side down on the baking sheet and bake for 15-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • 5 minutes before done, sprinkle remaining parmesan on top and finish baking until golden brown.

Notes

Do not overcrowd the baking sheet for best results.
Experiment with cheese varieties for different flavors.
