Description

These Rice Krispie Treats are a delightful blend of buttery marshmallows and crispy rice cereal, capturing the essence of childhood in a delicious dessert. Whether for a quick snack or a party treat, they’re sure to be a hit!


Ingredients

  • Unsalted Butter (3/4 cup or 170g; 12 Tbsp)
  • Mini Marshmallows (two 10-ounce bags or 566g; 11 heaping cups)
  • Pure Vanilla Extract (1/2 teaspoon)
  • Pinch of Salt
  • Crispy Rice Cereal (9 cups or 270g)

Instructions

  • Prepare a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper and grease it.
  • Melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat, then add 11 cups of mini marshmallows and stir until melted.
  • Remove from heat, and add vanilla extract and a pinch of salt, mixing well.
  • Fold in the crispy rice cereal until evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture.
  • Spread the mixture into the prepared baking pan without packing it too tightly.
  • Let the treats set for at least one hour at room temperature, then cut into squares.

Notes

Store Rice Krispie Treats at room temperature in an airtight container for up to three days.
For a twist, you can use flavored cereal such as chocolate or fruity alternatives.
If using regular marshmallows, chop them into smaller pieces for easier melting.
