Description

This sautéed carrots recipe offers irresistible sweetness paired with buttery richness. Quick to prepare, they are an ideal side for any meal, adding both flavor and color.

Ingredients

  • Carrots (1 1/2 lbs)
  • Water (1 1/2 cups)
  • Butter (1/4 cup)
  • Salt (3/4 teaspoon)
  • Black Pepper (1/4 teaspoon)
  • Garlic (1 teaspoon, minced)
  • Fresh Herbs (1 tablespoon)

Instructions

  • Peel and slice the carrots into half-inch thick rounds.
  • In a large skillet, add water and sliced carrots, cover, and steam for 5 minutes.
  • Drain excess water, add butter to the skillet, and heat to medium-high.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Return steamed carrots to the skillet, add salt and pepper, and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until golden and tender.
  • Finish with fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

Use fresh, vibrant carrots for the best flavor.
Ensure even sized carrot rounds for uniform cooking.
For a vegan version, use olive oil instead of butter.
