Instructions
- Boil salted water and cook pasta al dente, reserving 1 cup of pasta water before draining.

- Sauté onion in the remaining bacon fat until softened, about 5-7 minutes.

- Incorporate tomato paste, cream, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes, stirring to a smooth sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Mix in bacon and sliced basil, tossing gently.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese, adding reserved pasta water for desired consistency.
- Combine drained pasta with sauce, seasoning to taste with salt and pepper, then serve immediately.
