Description

These Valentine’s Day Truffles are a delightful treat made with creamy cream cheese and crunchy vanilla Oreos, coated in smooth white chocolate. Perfectly sweet, simple to make, and a wonderful gift for loved ones!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 36 vanilla oreos about 15 ounces
  • 1 8-ounce block cream cheese softened
  • 1416 ounces white chocolate melts *see notes
  • red oil-based food coloring optional (or powdered)
  • sprinkles optional

Instructions

  • Prepare a sheet pan lined with parchment paper and set it aside in your freezer or fridge.
  • Process the Oreos in a food processor until they turn into fine crumbs, using 10-second increments.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cookie crumbs with softened cream cheese and mix well, preferably with your hands until fully blended.
  • Scoop truffle mixture using a 1.5-tablespoon cookie scoop and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Roll into smooth balls and freeze for 30 minutes or refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate in 20-second intervals, stirring in between, or use a double boiler method by melting over simmering water.
  • If coloring the chocolate, add food coloring once it's fully melted, a drop at a time until the desired color is achieved.
  • Dip each truffle in the melted chocolate using a fork, ensuring it's fully coated while tapping off any excess. Place back on the lined sheet.
  • If drizzling, refrigerate or freeze the truffles for about 10 minutes before decorating as desired.
  • For sprinkles, add them while the chocolate is still wet; allow the chocolate to set on the counter for about 2 hours.

Notes

Store any leftover truffles in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
You can use dark or milk chocolate instead of white chocolate for a different flavor profile.
Feel free to experiment with different types of sprinkles or toppings for a creative touch.
